Forest Bathing Walk in Auckland Domain on September 30th.
We will meet on the steps of the historic Auckland Museum to introduce each other and then head down to meet some trees!
Our Forest Immersion Experience, also known as ‘Forest Bathing’ or ‘Shirin Yoku’, is a Japanese practice designed to deeply connect you to the natural world. I will lead you through a 5 minute nature connection meditation, to open your senses to receive more deeply from the natural world surrounding us.
This Forest Bathing adventure will focus on tree connection and communication. We will dive deep into the world of trees and you will experience a profound sense of connection to these majestic beings. It will involve a short, slow walk and a series of meditative exercises with trees.
We will then stroll back to the Domain grassy area for group reflection. Native plant tea will be prepared from leaves we have found on the walk and New Zealand oracle cards will be pulled, to deepen the reflective experience.
When: Sunday 28th October, 10.30am – 12.30pm
Where: Meet by the steps of the Museum (side facing the harbour)
Bring: Wet weather gear
